I couldn't handle the dogs. Actually, we only encountered 1 on the Bali Birdwalk and that was near the temple on the main road at the end of the walk. It was hilarious. There was a journalist on the trip and she fell in a ditch alongside the paddy field, up to her knees in mud. She passed me her $$$$ camera, which I had in one hand and her puppy in the other. He decided he was going to rescue mum so dived from my hold. My husband then had to haul out the journo and the white puppy, who had by then sunk up to his ears in mud and was totally black. We washed both mum and puppy in the sink in Murnis washroom. Dont know how I managed it but I was surprisingly clean. It's wonderful to relive special moments - hope this brought a smile to someone's face. Oh, back to the dog. All the time this was going on it was going balistic. Under normal circumstances I would probably have just about had a stroke but I was so busy laughing I forgot it was there.
