From Ubud, you really don't have much choice except to go to Bedugul but when you pass Lake Bratan and climb up to Wanagiri, you can either turn right and go to Lovina via Git Git waterfall and Singraja or turn left and go past Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan, visit the coffee plantation, Munduk waterfall, the hot springs at Banjar then follow the coast to Lovina. I've been both ways and prefer the latter (more to see and do).

Hire a driver and depending on how many stops you make, it'd be a couple of hours at least either way you go to get to Lovina. Cost approx. 250 000rp. for a one way trip, 400 000rp for the day.
