I returned from Bali and Lombok on Monday. I spent four nights in Bali and ten nights in Lombok. As the previous poster has said Lombok is a bit like Bali in the 80s as far as traffic and tourist development goes. My personal opinion is:
* Senggigi - the tourist boom is long over
* Gilli Trowangan - the tourist boom is happening now
* Kuta, Lombok - waiting for the tourist boom, still a surfie place.
