I returned from Bali and Lombok on Monday. I took my Australian full face helmet, International Drivers License, motorcycle gloves, jeans, motocross jersey and elastic sided boots. I took 16 kg over to Bali including the above gear and the same weight back. With the above gear, I did not feel hot riding around Kuta and Lombok. In Lombok, not even the ice cream bucket type helmets are offered to hirers.
The elastic sided boots also come in useful negotiating the broken footpaths of Kuta.
