We had the same phone call last year when we were staying at the casa padma. we were traveling with friends last year and as a joke he was handing out our details to all the time share people in kuta (he knew how much the time share people pis# us off lol )The 1st week we stayed at the hard rock and no phone calls but as soon as we got to the casa padma we received a call from a travel club not time share and they promised us that it wasnt time share over the phone.So we thought why not go and waste an hour (half a day in total)so we draged our friends with us and made them sit through it and suffer lol(we had done the time shar thing before). Well it was a travel club not time share and yes we bought in to it and boy can you save some money we can use it 365 days of the year not a week a year we can use it any where in the world and if they dont have a resort that they can offer you they have a huge discount rate on hotels.We are using it this year for our trip to Bali and are saving about $300 on our 15 night stay.So it wasnt a wasted half a day after all.We bought into it for 26 years and was a fraction of the price of time share and a very small yearly cost.
