We stayed there back in June 07, the rooms were very clean and confortable. The staff were very friendly and with with a Family atmosphere. Our daughter got sick for a few day's, and the hotel staff took a personal interest in her, to make sure she was as confortable as possible. I didn't find the pool any colder than any other hotel that we have stayed at in Bali. The pool area was always quiet although the hotel was full. Like I said, we loved it, and will certainly stay there again on our next trip to Bali.
