I might try with a little parcel of some hair ribbons first in case I can get something there in time for her birthday. I do KNOW how bad the postage system is. But May would be good if maybe you could take some small things - but only if you are like me & have plenty of space going up there.
Fully understand about the security aspect and would not wrap anything so that anyone who took anything would see exactly what it is.
Nevertheless I wouldn't want you to be in Bali with a parcel from me that you had to 'deal with ' in some way. Time in Bali is too precious.
