ATM cards would need to have a cirrus logo or be a visa/mastercard to withdraw. The charges vary dependent on which bank you are with, the cheapest seems to be Commonwealth Bank cards at the Commonwealth Bank ATMs (several around kuta/legian areas) at $1.50 per transaction, the other banks seem to be around $5. Wizard mastercards don't attract any withdrawal fees. The main thing to watch for is that a lot of machines there give you the money first, the card comes out last, so it is very easy to grab your money and walk away leaving your card in the machine and with the pin number already entered the next person can withdraw from your account.
