I remember when we always took at torch to Bali. I remember being in Cafe Nomad when the lights went out. A female English voice said 'hang on' and her torch came on. We all put our torches on, and dinner continues. The ambience!
You needed a torch to negotiate the potholes in the Monkey Forest Rd because there were no street lights.
