Who has managed to claim on their Australian private health funds for prescription glasses or dental work done in Bali? I assumed you had to submit an itemised receipt with a provider number. So far I've phoned Medibank, Manchester Unity and Australian Unity regarding my new specs business, but have been told that since the product is made up overseas (Jakarta), my customers won't be able to claim. This is particularly frustrating, because I keep reading about Forumites returning from Bali and successfully claiming for glasses or dental work. For those of you who've managed to claim, which health funds were you with, and do you remember whether the receipt was itemised or not?
