My girlfriend and I had saved up and off on our 1st overseas trip at 21. We expected something totally different. We were totally "freaked out" when we first hit the streets of Kuta. Both got bali belly big time and purchased literally garbage bags full of beach clothes and paid way way too much. So many funny memories.
We still love it - have been going ever since - now as a family and nothing phases us now. I have friends that are taking their 3 kids in July for the first trip ever - we laughed yesterday about how they will be really shocked by some of the sights that await them!! But I am sure they will fall in love with the place too
