is right. As of 1st week in February Garuda brought in new booking arrangements if you book directly with the airline. They would rather you book through a travel agent. It seems that travel agents were getting unhappy with clients booking direct with Garuda so Garuda brought in the $50 booking fee and payment within 7 days. Actually some of the European airlines require payment within 7 days, and Qantas domestic require payment within 24 hours. If you book a package, depending on the wholesaler, deposit within 7 days and balance within 45 days.
