Hubby and I stayed at the Kartika for 12 nights last month. Its a lovely hotel. A couple of things we werent happy about were the noise from the beachworks in the wee hours of the morning and the nightclub noise from the Musro room on the weekends until 6 - mind you we had an ocean front room and so were susceptible to this. The pool is lovely, plenty of loungers, the food is delish as is the brekkie. They do have a lot of conferences though, so breakfast can be sometimes chaotic. Location is perfect. Just across from the Discovery Mall is a fantastic Italian called IFiori - make sure you make a stop there - reasonable priced but fantastic food!! Also Stadium on the same street you will be staying on and opposite the markets is a great place to chow down to food - huge variety of food and cheap as. Also down from your hotel just past Discovery Mall is Kafe Batan Waru - excellent food also!! Enjoy and dont worry - you will be fine!
