We were intending to fly Singapore Airlines but the fares suddenly jumped in the last couple of weeks. Through speaking to a couple of agents I have been told it is due to the Olympics which are on at around the time we wish to travel. Have also been told that SIA are also cancelling flights and bookings regularly at the moment so I am not willing to take that chance.
It appears at the moment the Virgin/Garuda deals are a better option for the time we are travelling. Not only that you arrive in Bali at about 2pm - more time in Bali.
