We went over on the ferry with a car from Bali. Arrived in the dark at Lembar and made our way safely to Kuta without getting lost and had locals help with directions by showing them the map and where we were going, mostly just handing out a cigarette was fine.
We drove around Lombok and up to the Mountain and loved it. Just be careful at night as not many bikes have lights. We are going back in June and taking the car to Sumbawa as well this time.
