In November last year I did a comparison of the cover provided and cost of the most popular 8 Travel Insurance companies. Online Travel Insurance at the time was $82 for 19 days (no excess to pay),for myself and my son (single) .. Travel Insurance Direct was the cheapest at $65 however there is an excess of $100 to pay in the event if a claim. I decided to go with the cheaper option. If you pay the excess out then Travel Insurance Direct will be more expensive but not by much. All the others were more expensive and/or did not offer the same level of cover.
