Sorry, I don't manage to spend much time on the forum lately, luckily a friend told me that you had asked me a question about the Sri Phala.
We stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the pool. We booked through one of the online booking agencies (sorry can't remember which one) and paid US$45 including taxes, service charges and a very good breakfast. You should however be able to book directly with the hotel with everything included for US$40. A friend was recently quoted this price. If you have a look at the website bali-travel.de they are offering a special on this hotel with prices starting from US$39 inclusive of everything.
I would reccommend an upstairs room as the downstairs ones would be quite dark now as the gardens are thick and beautiful, so would block out a lot of light. The villas are quite dark as well. I like lots of light so my preference for what you want would be to book the two upstairs deluxe rooms overlooking the pool.
The rooms are big and beautifully decorated with a huge terrace/balcony. The bathrooms are a reasonable size and nice. The shower is over the bath.
It's a bit of a walk to Sanur central, but only a short taxi ride. We enjoyed the walk along the beachfront and got to know many of the people along the way.
Let me know your email address and I'll send you some photos. I'm happy to send the photos to anyone else interested.
It's a lovely boutique hotel and fantastic value for money. Fingers crossed I will be there again in June.
