Silver sulphadiazine (usually 1%) cream has been & still is an excellent treatment for skin burns. However silver colloid is an antiseptic NOT an antibiotic. Bleach, dettol, teatree oil, eucalyptus oil etc etc, are all excellent antiseptics for wounds/lesions but it would be poisonous if you drank them. (Now my conscience is clear and I shall go away).
