Hi Shaun, I previously stayed at the Febris in september 2006. I had and still do hear some people complaing about lack of shade and no grassed areas as at many other hotels. Also it does not have a swim up pool bar but that is something i am very happy without. First of all the pool is surrounded on 3 sides by magnificent frangipanni trees that have grown dramatically since 2006.I could never complain about lack of shade as we always could be in the shade or sun if we wanted. This is also the one and only hotel where i have never come across lounge hogs as the only towells on lounges belonged to the people swimming . Being a small hotel it is very friendly and even though i went in the last week of the w.a. school holidays it was never crowded. We have previousy stayed at 4 or 5 star hotels and one of them was the dynasty. Late one afternoon we walked through the dynasty grounds and to the beach. To be totally honest i could not believe the noise level aroungd the pool area and the overwelming crowded feel. The other thing that some people have complained about is that the restaurant at the front of the hotel is overlooking the pool area. Well, unless you can see through the trees and are determined to look at some swimming you can forget that as being a problem also

In regards to the rooms they are spacious, immaculatley clean and have the only fullsize fridge i have come across in bali and it is not stocked with mini bar items. The little touches like fresh flowers on your bed each day also make it special. I stayed with my 8 year old for 6 nights and 3x 2hour spa treatments all our breakfasts and laundry and the majority of our meals and drinks came to $128 aus. so the prices are not bad. If you stay 6 nights or more you also recieve a 1 hour reflexology treatment for free. I'm sure you would be very comfortable there but everyone has there own opinions and it wont suit everybody.

Goodluck with your trip, it must be exciting to take new people there and seeing it all through there eyes as newbies.( Sorry I dont have any photos as it was an trip tp shop for our house that we are building) Goodluck, Shelley.
