We are off to Cambodia on Monday and had all the shots and have to take the malaria tablets. The common consensus for Bali seems to be if you are spending time up north and west you may need malaria tablets, but if you are around Kuta etc the risk is quite low. As for hep a and b, well it's up to you and probably wouldn't be a bad idea. The actual needle doesn't hurt a bit, the next day feels like the old dead arm though!

With the malaria tablets you have to start taking them 2 days before you go into a malaria area and keep taking them for 2 weeks after you come out of the area every day.

We have heard that dengue fever is becoming more prevelent in Bali.
With all that said, we have never had shots to go to Bali and never had a problem.

As others have said, talk to your doctor and follow advice, but be quick, or you may leave it too late.
