We never have used kids clubs, but checked out the Patras whichis located near the entrance of the hotel, very big club with yard and little below ground mini pool...yard was a bit tired adn sandy...brick fence was not very high and we (mother in law) found gate from yard open...we looked inside kids club room and was very big and at the time a toddler was being minded, well when i looked at the toddler she had climbed into the bench/counter that had glass shelving which at anytime could have collapsed...I wasnt impressed to see this and I am (anal!) when it comes to my kids especially in a foreign country...but its like anything, you only hear the bad things...I have never had a babysitter but i am sure if you asked the question about patra babysitters someone will recomend someone that they know. In past holidays we have taken the kids shopping in morning and meal/shopping evening, but afternoons one of us would stay at hotel room whilst kids rested/movie whilst other parent went out and shopped..last trip our parents came and this was the first time that mother in law offered to babysit in afternoon in suite with kids whilst father in law, hubby and i went out for a few hours...we enjoy eating as a family in the evening even though its a quickish sort of meal, but we take hand held games, colouring books, even a portable dvd whilst at dinner and the kids are great...oooh and order lots of icecream! We were in room number 340 which over looked pond...deluxe suites on NORTH side are newer ( ihave been told)..we loved the little walk thru grounds, kids would have torches and look for bats and frogs!! Breakfast was huge and we enjoyed it..had room service a few times that was yummy..when booking your holiday dont get slugged for transfers, the hotel picks you up or cab is only 40,000rp ($5) we just love this hotel and are looking forward to august...any more questions just ask...i have some pics too if you are interested...cheers
