My husband and I stayed at the Pelangi on our first Trip to Bali in March 05. We loved it. The rooms were quite small, and the bathrooms TINY, but they were always clean and we felt very looked after.
In a great area and as it's been said, there's the shuttle to Kuta. We also found it was much quicker to walk to Legian and then Kuta along the beach, rather than up through Seminyak.
Pelangi was great, I've got some gorgeous photos of us in the infinity edge pool looking out onto the ocean and the pool bar was ALWAYS staffed hence it was a really friendly atmosphere of an afternoon.
