in december and whilst I enjoyed both I think Padma is better value for Money. I liked the Kartika because it was actually on the beach, close to Centro, and has a great pool, I think the Padma pool is too shallow. The Padma rooms are much better than Kartika, gardens are spectacular, breakfast was very good and the spa is the best I've been to in Bali. Both have heaps of restaurants close by but for a bit more luxury at a similar price to the Kartika I would chose the Padma.
