If we kkep giving to randoms in the street continually , we are encouraging a next generation of beggrs yes this is right. Ther are signs now in the streets that say , "Please do not give to the beggars" , the polisi will ask you not to give to randoms in the street. Lots of reasoning behind this, long story short,in laymans terms, they leave their villages to come into the flats, Kuta etc, make their living from begging , bang goes the farming etc in the villages. If you want to donate, then donate towards educating these children so that when they are older they can assist in making a change. there are plenty of oganisations within Bali than a geared toward this. tTen there are the orphanges, where if you donate to a reputable organisation , although I am biased toward a few, but won't ramm that down ya throat today, then this "asisistance' can be distributed when and where necessary.
