You sound like you have a really great driver, so ask him about this: Behind the big Art Market is Banjar Babekan, a neighborhood especially known for its Dalangs (shadow puppet masters). Most of these guys make their own puppets as well, and they have showrooms. Your driver sounds like some one with good knowledge of these things; with his help you can find the very BEST Wayang puppets made in Sukawati. I'm sorry I can't help you any more on this, as the fellow who made mine died a few years ago. Good luck!!!
