last year we went to our balinese sons village for a party (he stayed here with us for 3 weeks in March so we sent some money home with him for his father to buy a pig for the party). This was the first time that we had met all his family and it was the best thing we have ever done, all the village came and they were all so lovely and so very happy to meet us all. We stopped on the way and bought all the vegetables for the ladies to cook as well as plenty of rice etc that would keep them going for a few weeks. I had also sent his family over new clothes like a bondi beach shirt for his dad and ripcurl shirts for brothers etc and they all had them on it was so nice. There were so many little kids there and with our crew (there were around 40/45) it was beautiful to see all the kids sit together and try to communicate, which I must say they done extemely well!! Im sure you will know when the time comes that you have to leave and probably like us you will stay for hours as they are so happy to have you there you really dont want to leave. The toilets are depressing but you will get over it, just to have the opportunity to spend some quality time with these beautiful people is so worth it, tip - take some of those toilet wipes with you hehhe. Have a wonderful time Im sure you will, this year we are treating our balinese family with a couple of nights stay at Febris in Tuban rather than all of us travel again to Kalibukbuk, however by saying this I am sure that a few will go up before we come home to say goodbye...cheers Trace
