I usually take a good first aid kit as all my family surf so can never be too prepared, although by saying this the chemists in Bali are pretty good and have most stuff. I always take Immodium, sterile water (small vials), bettadine, bandaids, steri strips, aquim hand wash (dont need water), antiseptic powder, mozzie coils, tropical mozzie repellant, antiboitic like Keflex, aqua ear, sunscreen, zinc, mercyndol (as i get migraines), a couple of bandages and non stick gauze, and probably more stuff that I cant think of, I probably go over board as like i said you can get most there but dunno being a mum cant help it heheh. Last year a few of us had the dreaded bali butt and our balinese son went to the chemist (guardian) and got some dia tabs, they were excellent better than Immodium and much cheaper so that is now off my list...hope this is of some help...have a great time (remember to keep the mozzie coils burning and use tropical strength repellent as dengue fever is present)..sorry for any spelling mistakes...cheers Trace
