Do a search of the archives. Years ago I took a carton of champagne to Bali. After a lot of threatening and intimidation and $50, I smiled and walked out. I subsequently went to the Indonesian Consulate to find out what the duty should be and was told "it is whatever they ask for!".
Can I suggest you read note 2 on the Indonesian Customs Declaration Form. It states (in relation to question 11 - having more than 1 litre of alcoholic beverage) "shall be destroyed under Customs control.
If they allow you to take in more than 1 litre then they are doing you a favour! My rule of thumb is be prepared to pay 'duty' up to what you paid for it and be prepared to walk away from it if they don't agree. I suggest you but very cheap wine and take your receipt with you!
