if your tribe is anything like mine they chop and change their snack favourites constantly. Try the local little supermarkets to 'test the water' on local brands of chips and nut bars. As with MacDonalds in Bali, it may look the same on the outside but its a teensy bit different experience than the kids are used to. Don't forget to try the "when in Rome, kids" routine. Bali has fantastic fruits that are a fraction of the cost in Oz. Otherwise we usually buy in bulk at Makro out on the hwy to Sanur. Take a local friend with you and through in some purchases into your trolley for them. Lots of locals can't afford to shop there but without showing off its a nice gesture
