Really, except for the garden room, the views are all the same, rice paddies. What makes it different is the time of year that you visit. Is the rice still growing, are they in the process of cutting it, has it been harvested? I preferred it when it had been harvested and the ducks were out and at night you could see a light which meant someone was looking for eels. The wooden rooms are so called because the rooms are clad in some type of wood. These are upstairs and the stairs to room #18 are quite steep. I loved it, especially lazing in the bath and looking out over the rice paddies, mind you, you can do this in most rooms. Wooden room had a better bath, also has a separate shower. Room# 18 is by the exercise area, the other one is upstairs beside the pool. These rooms have a four poster bed. They are shown on the website. If you are going there for a special occasion, may I suggest you go for the duplex, complete with semi-outdoor spa. mmmmm I am just remembering lazing there drinking champagne by candlelight. (now, now, clean your mind, I was there alone.....I know what a waste of champagne & spa). I love the Tegal Sari. Great staff make a visit there worthwhile and their spa/massage (Pertinen) is also worth a visit, especially Dayu. The hotel will drive you ther and collect. You will enjoy your stay whichever room you choose. Cheers, Stormy
