Tuesday 14 August
Up at 7.30 am this morning. Needed time to shower and get organised and then head to Quentin's room to see what he wanted to do for brekky. He chose to try the hobble down to breakfast as he wouldn't have a chance to get out until we got back. It was a slow pace to breakfast but without incident. Quentin was just glad to see the outside of his room. After I had Quentin tucked back up in his room it was onto the scooter and head across to Troppozone to meet the boys for our day out. The only unfortunate thing about not having enough warning was I did not get a chance to stock up on lolly pops for the kids.
As I had done Bali buggies with hubby on our last trip I had a good idea of what to expect. The two boys however had no idea. We had a sensational day thrashing around on the buggies. In the end we were separated from the rest of the group so the boys could ‘go sick' as they say. The staff called the boys, crazy drivers, but everyone had an awesome time. This ended up being the highlight of the trip for the two boys. I also thoroughly enjoyed the day out with them and it was a fantastic way for them to say thankyou.
The trip up and back also gave the boys a good chance to see a few things they had not been able to see. It was priceless watching the expressions on their faces with the new things they saw. There were a million questions also but I think they are now well and truly hooked. After the incident with Quentin I was concerned that none of them would return. I was told later that if they hadn't met up with me, they probably wouldn't return. They are now all talking about returning next August so fingers crossed.
By the time we got back to the Barong Hotel, Quentin was getting a bit anstey from being cooped up in the room all day. The boys were all flying out the next night and Quentin had not had a chance to do any shopping. Off to the nearest DVD shop sorted out his movies and music etc. A couple of stops for clothes and we settled Quentin back into his room ready to order room service for dinner.
Marc, Dylan and I decided we would head over to Troppozone as they had a BBQ night on. Had a great meal there and met up with Donna and her partner Johnny and two guys from Melbourne, Steve & Jason. A night out was decided on as it was Marc and Dylan's last night and they had only been out once. We all started with drinks at Troppozone where the boys took part in a drinking competition. Stuck around at Troppozone for a while as they had a local all girl band playing before heading to the Bounty nightclub. We all enjoyed a night of drinks and dancing. As I had a big day heading to Lovina the next day, I headed back to my hotel around 1 am while the others stayed on until the early hours. Thankfully there were no injuries tonight.
