I stayed end of June into July this year and when we stayed a the Novotel in Tanjung Benoa - it was quite windy which made it unpleasant on the beach and cold in the pool. However, I didn't find it windy in Kuta or up the coast at Medewi, where it was much warmer. So my advice is avoid Tanjung Benoa at this time of year.
