The best way to check out seat locations is at the seat guru, I always take a copy of the seat layout with me when booking in at checkin, that way you always know where u are to be seated and dont have to rely on the Kind person behind the counter.
Jetstar is even worse as everyone books the best seats online before u even get there, hope this helps
