I take toys which I buy from the Salvos. Barbies for the girls and little cars for the boys.I also buys new cars if they are cheap. I also take packets if M&Ms. These are sealed so are safe. The kids love them and as I walk through the markets I hand them out to the children. Then of course the mothers ask for their children who are at home. But I make the rule kids only. I f you don't they bring out photos of their children, but you have to draw the line.They appreciate any toys and clothing so don't think they will be offended by your second hand gift.We have no concept of how really poor they are particularly those in the outer villages.
