not to say it's not possible round the pool depending what stage they are at but we didn't hear any. We were in the same block as you are getting and even if it was noisy I don't think you'd hear it there.
I ran into a couple who usually stay there but were staying at Puri Raja because their travel agent advised them of the noise possibility but they were regretting the decision partly I think because they like blue ocean beach area and partly because the food and drink prices at PR were much higher at (I think) 18000 small bintang and 35000 for a large.
