just got back last week and NEVER found rubbish and empty bottles around the pool and grounds and ALWAYS got a pool towel, all 4 adults, so not sure what Lorraine is on about.
The rooms at the Melasti are twice to three times bigger than the Jayakarta, the suite cottage rooms that is and i have stayed in both. Even the superior rooms at the mbr are bigger.
There is heaps to do at that end of Legian for the kids/teenagers.
Surfing right out the hotel, pool tables in 2 locations at mbr and a table tennis table. 2 large pools and one smaller pool.
As for the staff i have always found them to be polite and helpful.
I would go the mbr staying in the cottage suite rooms.
