Alot of people choose to fly Garuda because it gets them into Bali around lunch time, giving them a good part of the day as their first day.
With Garuda's delays which appear to be almost daily lately, once you have arrived in Bali and gone through Immigration and Customs you are arriving early evening. One day lost and no compensation from Garuda for this.
My mother was advised by Garuda in Perth (by phone call at 2:00am) that her scheduled 8:00am flight in 11 August was leaving at 1:30pm, and then 12:30pm. She arrived at the airport to find out that she was leaving at 1:30pm again, and no way of contacting me in Bali. We arrived at the airport at 2:30pm so that we would be there for an assumed arrival of 3:30-4:00pm.
My mother was delayed in Perth, left after 1:30pm and didn't arrive in Bali until after 5:00pm. 7 flights all arrived within 10 minutes of each other, and she didn't get out until 6:20pm. Not happy Jan!!
Garuda, Shame .. Shame .. Shame
