I dont think you can ask anyone what you feel you should tip theres is no need to do so but why not?If the service is good and you are happy would you not do that in austalia? The balinese work for very little and some trainees at hotels and restaurants can work for a period with no money and no quarantee of work.So the bottom line is its very very cheap in bali to eat, relax, buy ,travel etc. so why not show your appreciation and kindness by helping them out.You dont have to be a big tipper but if I have extra rupiah I give whatever I feel would be a good gesture please dont work a budget on what to tip, be free to help out when you can at whatever you can afford to do you will see some beautiful smiles back from that enjoy!!!!p.s. its always a good idea to do the goodbye handshake and slip the tip into the hand of whoever you would like the tip to go to that way they keep it for themselves if not helping out everyone together is a great way to go - good karma
