felt safer riding in bali than riding in aus , it actually looks a lot worse when you are sitting in a taxi and seeing bikes whizzing around everywhere than when you are on the bike , i had my wife on the back of a bike for the first time in 20 years and she loved it but will not ride at home here , the speeds are a lot slower and i have seen two accidents in two trips and both only involved abrasions , did the bali baik tour a few weeks ago and a lady had a spill and was injured about the same .
fuel is available everywhere in small (1 litre) or large (2 litre)
for 5000 rp per litre . i paid 3500 rp per day hire of automatic bike . my son had a bike there for 3 weeks and travelled everywhere with surfboards etc , make sure the bike has rego papers with it and you carry your license also was told to carry 20000rp note for any
fines or extra payments that may be required . though did not have any hassles it was the highlight of the trip
