It would appear reading the various posts that there are a number of reasons for the delays. The Boeing 734 they are using has around a 40 seat less capacity than the 737-800 that normally does the run. Fog can be an issue here in Perth but I have only seen it once in the last month. I would be interested to know if the maintenace on the 737-800 is routine and if so why they did not lease another aircraft to cover the loss in capacity of the 734. We leave on the 1/9 and it would appear the way it is going our flight will be delayed. If the 737-800 returns to service on the 2/9 then our return trip has a better chance of being on time. We have flown Garuda before and experienced their delays and poor communication skills but if we are incovenienced this time we will seriously look in the future at other carriers.
