I have found it depends on how long your stay, as to how much cash to take. We allow $100 dollars a day for a couple which includes meals,drinks and shopping. Taking cash into Bali, never had any worries be it 1500 or 2500 Aus. Most of the Hotels now have room safes, which are excellent
