EMS should not be any more expensive than Express Mail from here (Australia) to overseas, if it is you are getting 'stung', and pumpkinella you got roasted.

Sea mail is a LOT cheaper but has the same limit of 20kg, as Mic posted. A 12kg rice cooker took over 2 months to arrive by sea mail but cost about AU$30.00.
I have sea mail rates if anyone wants them.
Also remember that EMS give you a tracking code so you can prove it if you haven't received your item, with sea mail you're on your own.
