JBR 4th-18th Things we did.

We headed to Bali Cyber Café where we were fortunate to meet Haaris who in turn helped us to understand how our laptop would work in Bali. He set it all up for us, unfortunately we couldn't get it to work at the first hotel for the first week but we were ok at the Peninsula with it. We needed our laptop for a number of reasons and debated about taking it, we were glad we did in the end. Looking up land for sale and the research I had done previously was easier later at night in the hotel once showered and rested. Also communicating with the ‘at home alone 16 yr.old' put my mind at ease!
We got our phones set up with Bali sim cards, I've had mine for the last 4 trips and our driver/friend keeps it topped up for me. I managed to get a couple off the forum, thanks guys, so we only needed one more so that all 4 of us could communicate if we got split up and communicate with Australia.
We used the Kodak money changers most times, a bank a couple of times, no problems except the rate started falling from the first day, 7825 down to 7100 on the last day. In the scheme of things though it's not that much of a difference.
The husband and daughter went Quad bike riding with some other forumites, you know who you are...where's your jbr? A good very muddy day was had by all.....Gill and I enjoyed our spa massage more I'm sure!
Waterbom Park for a day trip but truly I felt it was too cold in the water, I'm a wooss I know, had a nice massage at the spa though.
A day trip over to Nusa Penida, glass bottom speed boat, a bit of snorkelling, lunch at a Russian owned warung/hotel, motor biking around the island looking at land for sale. The snorkelling was a dead loss as the current was too strong and the coldness of the water took your breath away...I didn't go in at all!
We were to meet up with a few people but Bali time got away from us; sorry to those we never got to meet up with. I did try to contact most of you and had good fun trying to get messages left for people who I had no last names for only forum names and had no idea what you looked like...again the Balinese surely think I'm one of those mad Aussies!
We viewed a number of villas, timeshare and hotels ready for our next trip, it's surprising the amount of time this all takes.

Most of our time we spent looking at blocks of land for sale. We saw some spectacular scenery but came home empty, next time if not sooner it will happen. We travelled as far as Lovina, Singaraja, Medewi Beach, Tabanen and Gianyar. We think our mind is made up to be in the rice fields somewhere, away from the towns and the ocean view is not necessary. Correct ownership to sell, access to the block and electricity will now be our main priorities when looking. We have a couple of people actively looking for what we want now and all I need is an email and I'll be on the next plane to see, sign and buy!

Anyone has any questions my email is highlighted if prefer off forum.
