JBR 4th-18th Restaurants.
Restaurants we ate at were:-
Celsius for lunch three times, this is in Centro near the youth clothing section, Kuta Beach side in the Discovery Mall. We had a variety of different meals and all were really good meals each time at good value prices, also the place is air-conditioned and NON smoking. There is an area like a balcony for the smokers.
Nero's for dinner twice, the first time we were seated in the rear section and were given face washers and lots of attention, the second time was seated at the front and waited ages for service and meals and no face washers. Both times meals were good. Drinks quite strong, alcohol wise.
Bamboo Corner for lunch, good very cheap meals, staff very attentive.
Kori's, for dinner, expensive on Bali standards but the food was the best meal we had and the staff were attentive, funny but not in your face. Does have a gentlemen's billiard/cigar smoking area/room.
Poppies Garden, for dinner, as usual good food, nice staff, same problem as most restaurants though lighting very poor.
Secret Garden, for dinner, wouldn't bother again, the worst food we had.
Bali Colado, for dinner, ground floor, Discovery Mall, lovely staff, good food and air-conditioned.
Fat Yogi's, for dinner, good food but long wait and then to find out one meal was unavailable due to no NOODLES, 3 of us had finished when the last meal arrived. 2 large movie screens with movies showing.
Daddy's, for dinner, really a breakfast or lunch/snack place but suited us for dinner and the food was good as usual.
La Scala, for dinner. This is one of the restaurants along the Tanjung Benoa strip, good food, upstairs and a good view of the passing traffic. Attentive staff.
Coriander, for lunch. Good meal and nice staff but we were the only ones in here, this is in Sanur.
Coco Bistro, for dinner, along the Tanjung Benoa strip, excellent meal, service and the staff attentive, good prices, a little more than the average. Entertainment whilst eating.
Jukung, for dinner, opposite Peninsula, food OK, waited ages for food and then was ages for the bill and then we paid and left the restaurant only to be chased because we had received the wrong bill, a lot less than ours! Probably wouldn't go again because of the waiting. Entertainment though whilst eating if you like that.
Didn't get any tummy upsets whilst away, first night back here in Australia had a chicken omelette from the local Chinese and had a terrible time in the toilet the next day.
We were careful with hand washing but not over the top, and drank bottled water which we also used for our teeth cleaning.
