take cash - AUD is best and redily changeable - by the time you pay the fees to change it and exchange rate variances, you are better off just to take AUD - there really isn't a difference. $50 or $100 notes are the way to go, both get the same exhange rate. Travellers cheque rates r a little lower and more hassle- however if you want the security?

Take your ATM card for any excess you may need. Most banks change $5aud per withdrawal plus the rate is a little lower than what is on the street. - most places wont charge a commission in bali to change money - just make sure you count it out.

If you have a virgin credit card - they dont charge you a fee for withdrawing money if your account is in credit.
