drinking age but has a minimum legal purchasing age which is 16. Most of the other posters are right, its unlikely anyone will be checking your age but if you are underage and you are buying alcohol (particularly if you are drunk) you put yourself in a very vulnerable position and there are police (and pretend police) who might try to exploit that.
