Don't take towels, just buy 6 cheap sarongs when you get there. They are lightweight & dry quickly. I only take a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, speedos & thongs plus the clothes I wear on the plane. Anything else I buy. You can wear casual clothes everywhere, even the claasy places so I wouldn't be taking any dress clothes. That being said, some nights I do get dressed in jeans, a collared shirt & shoes just for a change (my flying gear). For the kids on the street, simple things like party blowers (you know the ones that uncurl when you blow in them), koala clips, yo yo's, superballs, chupa chups.
