I expect you can still have fun at Uncle Norms in Jl Melasti. The waiters used to joke around a lot with the children (but then again, dont Balinese by nature).
Ketumbar in Jl Melasti has lovely atmosphere and terrific view from upstairs. Set back off the road.
Wayan and Friends in Jl Padma, and lots love Indo National.
Breeze in Jl Sahadewa, Ours, but the karaoke can be rowdy.
Drops in Jl Padma has tasty and beautifully presented meals and extra special desserts.

A little more special is La Lucchiola in Seminyak, beachfront. Many families go there for brunch over the weekends. Fabulous grass lawns out the front before the sand.
Ketupat in Jl Legian about midway between Kuta and Legian. Its a tradional Indonesian restaurant in a lovely setting around a pool, set back off Jl Legian.
Ku De Ta in Seminyak
The Living Room in Seminyak.

Its worth a drive one afternoon to GWK cultural park to see the monuments which are huge, then dinner as the sun sets at deMiMidi, on the road to Uluwatu.

Oops, I have over-filled my quota of recos!
