As I said in my JBR we stayed at the Ramada Bintang and my cousin stayed at the Febris.
Ramada Bintang, 24 hour room service, 3 restauarnts, big pool, Merry's tour service, lift, bigish rooms, big shaded garden, some staff we found friendly and chatty others friendly but not chatty and did not know our names, free daily activities ie cooking classes, pool aerobics etc. We found it not as intimate as other big hotels we have stayed in as in other guess and staff. Bit noisy when taking food/goods etc down from the lobby kitchen to the buffet that was at the other end of the restort by the pool. Food a little more expensive but plenty, booze more expensive and service tax added to all bills. Rated 5 star.
Febris, 11pm close for restaurant and bar, nice size pool and cousin had no worries with the kids swimming without her being there, no tour service, lovely rooms and a BIG fridge, not a grass area in the garden but lovely shaded areas, only stairs, all the staff very friendly and chatty and ready for a joke, knew all our names, no free activities, a LOT cheaper and more intimate with other guess and staff. Only one restaurant, food great but not huge serves and made me special Ice Coffee, booze cheaper than Ramada and no service tax and if/when we tipped VERY much appreciated.
All in all we will be staying at the Febris next time for the friendlyness of the staff. Even though me and hubby did NOT stay there, we were treated as if we were staying there. Rated 3-4 star but 10 stars in my books for friendly staff, cleanlyness etc.
