We stayed at the Surawathi and also had to change rooms due to Noise,The staff do have a tendency to be a bit vocal and also like their music load while they cook breakfast.
We paid to upgraded to the newer rooms with breakfast included only to lose the egg at breakfast the next day, seems that the upgrade didnt include the 1 egg for breakfast.
We inquired at the desk because I thought this was madness only to be told that yes the egg wasnt included ,just to push it a bit I told them that I had already paid for the egg in my original booking of 10 days and eventually was given the egg back. we stayed there a month and after the 10 days we lost the egg. I was a bit bored with the egg anyway so i asked if I could change to the indonesian breakfast as that was cheaper on the menu anyway but No i couldnt have that either.
So we ended up getting the eggless breakfast for the next couple of weeks sent to our room and giving it to the gardeners and workers who got eggs at home anyway.
we booked to go back there again the last trip but only stayed for 2 nights as a rooster had moved in behind our room and must have heard about our liking for eggs and loudly told us from dawn each morning his disapproval egg lovers
But,Its actually not a bad hotel ,it has management and staff problems which can if you let it ruin a good holiday, they seem to be very inflexable to the point of being arrogent. We also had issues on our second time with arranged rates which were made with the boss only to be overuled at the desk by the manager,but then confirmed at the cut rate when we gave notice.
The other thing that needs to be addressed is a problem with the superior room door between the adjoining rooms which allows noise to enter from the other room, which could lead to be embaressing
